According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar is interested in making the move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Di Marzio published photos of Tottenham’s recruitment chief Steve Hitchen in Milan on Wednesday, as he arrived for talks over Skriniar.
Skriniar is described as being ‘very interested’ in making the move, but there are still issues to resolve in terms of the fee Tottenham would be paying.
Inter want €60million (£55million), whereas Tottenham are putting around €50million (£46million) on the table, meaning there is a gap to be bridged.
With Hitchen meeting Skriniar’s agent and the Tottenham project now put over, Tottenham may feel they’re in a strong position.
Ultimately though, it will come down to that fee, and whether Daniel Levy can really splash the cash to bring Skriniar to North London.

The 25-year-old would seemingly replace Jan Vertonghen if Tottenham can get a deal done, bolstering Jose Mourinho’s back line.
Skriniar, a Slovakian international, became a little less important at Inter last season as Alessandro Bastoni emerged, and Tottenham can offer him a route out of the San Siro, with real progress made today.
