According to L’Equipe, Arsenal are interested in signing Adrien Rabiot in the summer transfer window, but the Juventus central midfielder wants to move to Everton instead.

It has been reported by the French publication that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta wants to sign the former Paris Saint-Germain star this summer.

Manchester United are also interested and so are Everton, and it is the Merseyside outfit where the France international wants to move to this summer, with the midfielder having worked with manager Carlo Ancelotti at PSG, according to the report.

However, it has been claimed that Rabiot’s salary of €7.5 million (£6.7 million) a year poses a problem for the Toffees.

Football in England and Italy is suspended at the moment to the global health crisis, and it remains to be seen when the summer transfer window opens.

Stats

According to WhoScored, Rabiot has made 11 starts and six substitute appearances in Serie A for Juventus so far this season, and has also played 278 minutes in the Champions League for the Italian outfit.

Good signing for Everton?

Rabiot is a very good central midfielder who knows Ancelotti well and would make Everton better in the middle of the park.

Having won multiple trophies at PSG, the 25-year-old would also bring a wining mentality to the Toffees.
