Football London has reported what referee Mike Dean said to Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino after last month’s controversial defeat at Burnley.

Pochettino was fined £10,000 and given a two-match touchline ban angrily confronting Dean after the 2-1 defeat at Turf Moor.

The Tottenham boss was livid with the Premier League official due to the Clarets’ opener but also because of what the veteran ref was supposed to have said to him immediately before the confrontation.

The Argentine refused to reveal what Dean said, but Football London claims that he simply said ‘go away’ when Pochettino and assistant Jesus Perez approached him.

The Spurs manager served the first of his touchline ban in the defeat by Southampton before the international break, and will also watch next week’s trip to Liverpool from the stands.

You can understand Pochettino’s frustration at Turf Moor, considering that Burnley’s opener came from a corner which should have been awarded as a goal kick to the North Londoners.

That defeat was the first of three for Tottenham over the past four games.
