Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is said to be ready to make some transfer moves this month.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has finally opened transfer talks with owner Mike Ashley.

Benitez has made no secret of his desire to make signings at Newcastle, but he has been unable to bring any new players to St. James’ Park so far.

Ashley seemingly does not want to give the Newcastle boss a big budget to spend, as his future on Tyneside remains highly uncertain.

Benitez though could finally be able to make moves in the transfer window soon, as he is now in talks with Ashley.

Ashley is reportedly now not going to sell Newcastle this month, despite interest in the club.

And while Newcastle fans may be disappointed about that development, the possibility that they will now make some transfer moves is sure to be greeted with joy.

Newcastle are currently sat just above the relegation zone, after beating Cardiff City 3-0 at the weekend.
