The Newcastle United owner looks set to get his man.

The Newcastle United owner, Mike Ashley, has reportedly offered £4 million up front for his top managerial target.
That man, Steve Bruce, is said to have resigned from his position as the Sheffield Wednesday boss on Monday morning, along with his assistants, Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence.
And according to the Sun, the Owls are likely to accept Newcastle’s offer for the lifelong Toon fan, which it claims arrived after he walked out.
However, it adds that both Agnew and Clemence have left without their transfer fees being agreed, which ‘should not be a major issue’.
If true, it is a resolution that all three parties – Newcastle, Bruce and Wednesday – will see as being positive.
It should allow the Magpies and their new manager to press ahead with their plans for the new season, and leave the Championship side in a strong position to secure a replacement.

The fans left behind by Bruce have united against him over his supposed conduct, just six months after he arrived at their club.
