According to a report in the Chronicle, Mike Ashley accepted an invite to go into Newcastle United’s dressing room following their win over Watford.

Ashley has started attending Newcastle games again recently, with the Magpies owner clearly showing his desire to watch his side.

Despite being greeted with a backdrop of chants against him, Ashley is keen to develop his relationship with the players at Newcastle.

Ashley was reportedly told he could come into the dressing room after Newcastle’s match, and he said ‘well done’ to the players.

Newcastle managed to pick up a 1-0 victory over Watford yesterday, with Ayoze Perez scoring the only goal of the game.
