Mikael Lustig has established himself as an important player for Celtic.
Celtic defender Mikael Lustig is ready to sign a long-term deal at the club, according to The Glasgow Evening Times.
It has been reported that Lustig will commit his future to Celtic this week as negotiations are set to reach a positive conclusion.
The 30-year-old right-back has been on the books of the Bhoys since January 2012 and has a contract with the Glasgow giants until June 2018, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Lustig is one of the best defenders in the Scottish Premiership and is a key player in Brendan Rodgers’s team. If the Sweden international decides to remain at Celtic Park, then it would be great for the club.
The Bhoys are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and are firm favourites to win the title. Celtic are currently at the top of the league table with 58 points from 20 matches.

The Hoops are 19 points clear of second-placed and Old Firm rivals Rangers and have a game in hand.
The Bhoys will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Albion Rovers away from home at the Exsel Group Stadium in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
