Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has not been given masses of funds since taking charge.

Rafael Benitez persuaded Mike Ashley to break Newcastle’s transfer record on the Paraguayan in January, but the play maker is yet to totally live up to his price tag.
Almiron has shown flashes of quality, but he is yet to really stand out as one of the leading creators in the Premier League.
And the Mail suggest Almiron’s form could be key to the budget the Newcastle manager receives in the summer transfer window.
If Almiron can step up and prove he is worth the fee, then Ashley may well be willing to part with more cash in the summer.

However, if Ashley is not given a big return on his investment, then he may opt to not spend big again.
Whether Benitez will be in charge at Newcastle next season remains to be seen, as his future remains insecure.
The Spaniard has not committed to penning a new contract yet, but if he is given sizeable funds to spend then that may persuade him to stick around at St. James’ Park.
