Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic is reportedly wanted on loan by Middlesbrough in the summer transfer window.

TEAMtalk reported on transfer deadline day that Championship duo Leeds and Middlesbrough made bids for the 25-year-old defensive midfielder – who earns £30,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – on transfer deadline day last week.
Gazette Live reported later last Thursday that Middlesbrough and Everton had agreed on a fee, but the move fell through due to agent fees.
The Northern Echo has now claimed that Boro, who are aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship this season, are still interested in securing the services of the 25-year-old defensive midfielder.
However, according to the report, Tony Pulis’s side will only return to the negotiating table if Besic reduces his demands.
“A number of alternative loan options will be considered in the next few days, with the Teessiders adamant they will not be held to ransom over a move for Besic,” adds the report in The Northern Echo.

Moving to Middlesbrough
Besic has been on the books of Everton since the summer of 2014 when he joined from Ferencvaros for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4 million.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international defensive midfielder has struggled to establish himself in the Toffees’ first, and a return to Boro on loan would make sense for him.
The 25-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Boro after joining the Championship club in the January transfer window.
