According to a report on TeamTalk, Middlesbrough are keen on signing West Bromwich Albion winger Matt Phillips and Aston Villa’s Albert Adomah this summer.

Boro are keen to improve their attacking threat next term, and Tony Pulis seemingly wants more pace out wide.

Pulis worked with Phillips at West Brom, and will now return to the Hawthorns to attempt to do a deal for the Scottish international.

Phillips’ form for Albion last season was highly inconsistent, and he could be made available by Darren Moore.

Villa, meanwhile, are having to listen to offers for almost all of their players, which puts Adomah’s future in doubt.

Adomah was in flying form for Villa last term, but the claret and blues’ financial struggles means that a sizeable offer will almost certainly have to be accepted.

Adomah is already well known to the Riverside crowd, as he spent three years at Boro, between 2013 and 2016, before making the move to Villa.
