Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis is reportedly keen on a reunion with his former West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper.
Middlesbrough have moved for former West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Boaz Myhill, according to the Sun (July 27, page 58).
Myhill’s West Brom contract expired at the end of last month, and the American-born Welshman could now reunite with his old Baggies boss Tony Pulis at Middlesbrough.
The newspaper adds, however, that Myhill has continued to train with West Brom and has an offer to rejoin the recently relegated club.
The 35-year-old would face competition from Darren Randolph and Dimi Konstantopoulos at Middlesbrough, while West Brom have recruited Sam Johnstone and Jonathan Bond since Myhill’s deal ended.
The Baggies are still said to want a third goalkeeper, nonetheless, and have seen rumoured target Simon Moore sign a new contract with Sheffield United.
Myhill began his career at West Brom’s local rivals Aston Villa and has spent the bulk of his life in the Midlands, which could have a bearing on any decision.
