Middlesbrough are interested in signing Manchester City midfielder Aaron Mooy and Everton winger Aiden McGeady in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 57, April 16, 2017).

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Middlesbrough caretaker-manager Steve Agnew watched the two players in action during the Championship game between Huddersfield Town and Preston North End.

Huddersfield got the better of Preston 3-2 at the John Smith’s Stadium in the league on Friday evening.

Mooy, who is 26 years of age and operates as a midfielder, is on loan at Huddersfield from Premier League giants Manchester City at the moment.

McGeady, who is 31 years old and operates as winger, is currently on loan at Preston from Merseyside outfit Everton.

According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 57, April 16, 2017), Mooy will be sold by City in the summer, while Everton will allow McGeady to leave on the cheap if a club is willing to sign him.

Middlesbrough are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 24 points from 31 matches.
