Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers are both said to have made offers for the Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder.
Middlesbrough have increased their offer for Queens Park Rangers’ Luke Freeman after Blackburn Rovers had a bid rejected, according to Sky Sports’ live blog (Thursday 9th August, 13:23).
Blackburn are said to have offered £4 million for Freeman, however the value of Middlesbrough’s bid remains unclear.
Nevertheless, Boro may be better placed to tempt QPR into a sell, having raised around £18 million from Adama Traore’s transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers – although some of that is owed to Aston Villa.
The Teessiders have also been linked with moves for Everton’s Yannick Bolasie and Millwall’s Jed Wallace as they seek to replace Traore.
However, it remains to be seen which of the trio, if any, will be Middlesbrough players come 5pm today.
Freeman only moved to QPR from Bristol City 18 months ago, but impressed with five goals and 12 assists in last season’s Championship.
