Southampton are said to be leading the chase for Middlesbrough’s Gibson.

According to Teamtalk, Middlesbrough have enquired about Southampton left-back Sam McQueen.
And the website claims McQueen could be included in a possible deal for Ben Gibson, should Southampton follow up their initial interest in the Middlesbrough centre-half.
Saints are said to be leading the chase for Gibson, who gained England international prior to Boro’s relegation last season.
And the Teesside club have already brought in reinforcements in the 25-year-old’s position, with Aden Flint and Paddy McNair arriving for a combined fee of more than £10 million.

However, Southampton’s seemingly imminent signing of Borussia Mönchengladbach centre-back Jannik Vestergaard could dilute any interest in Gibson.
Teamtalk also reports Middlesbrough are chasing deals for Burnley striker Sam Vokes, Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic and West Bromwich Albion winger Matt Phillips, with Stoke City’s Peter Crouch listed as a Vokes alternative.
