Newcastle United, Middlesbrough and Aston Villa were all in the race to sign Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo.
Boro have been in competition with Aston Villa and Newcastle United for the signature of the winger according to the Daily Mirror, and Garry Monk’s side believe that they have won the race.
Villa and Newcastle were both prepared to take Ojo off Liverpool’s hands on a loan deal.

But the England youth international is reportedly edging towards a move to the Riverside Stadium.
If Ojo does move to Middlesbrough it will be a major boost to Monk’s side, who are already the favourites for promotion in the Championship.
Boro have assembled an enviable cast of attackers, and Ojo will only increase their creativity even further.
The youngster possesses great pace and dribbling ability, which should make him a threat to defences across the second tier.
Middlesbrough begun their season with a 1-0 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
