Mateusz Klich is believed to be on the verge of signing for Leeds United.
According to Sky Sports, it was Garry Monk who recommended Mateusz Klich to Leeds United.
Monk wanted to sign Klich last summer from Kaiserslauten, but Leeds decided against making a move.
The 38-year-old was not backed with the funds to snap up Klich, and the midfielder ended up moving to FC Twente.

Klich, in his first season in Holland, has scored six goals and created four assists – and Leeds have maintained their interest.
The Whites are now on the verge of completing a move for Klich, with the 27-year-old set to be Thomas Christiansen’s first signing.

Middlesbrough are actually thought to have shown an interest in Klich at the last minute (Yorkshire Evening Post), with Monk making a late enquiry.
However, Klich is determined on signing for Leeds and the transfer is set to go through in the near future.
