Report: Middlesbrough and Birmingham chase Cheltenham’s Mohamed Eisa

Middlesbrough and Birmingham City are reportedly showing interest in Mohamed Eisa.

According to reports from The Sunday People (printed edition; October 6th – page 49), three Championship clubs – Middlesbrough, Birmingham City and Bristol Rovers are showing interest in Cheltenham striker Mohamed Eisa.

The 23-year-old spent his early career in non-league football with Dartford and Greenwich Borough. He had a great goal scoring record at Greenwich, where he scored 57 goals in 100 appearances before joining Cheltenham in 2017.

He has been a regular scorer for the Robins, and has swiftly earned himself a three-year contract.

Eisa scored on his League Two debut against Morecambe in August. In the following week, he scored twice in Cheltenham’s 4-3 win over Oxford in the EFL Cup.

He capped off an excellent start at his new club when he scored on the same week against Crawley in Cheltenham’s 1-0 victory in the league game.

After going through a bad patch of six games without scoring, Eisa returned to goal scoring form again last month, scoring four goals in three games against Cheltenham, Accrington, and Chesterfield respectively. In total, he has scored eight goals in all competitions so far.
