Sunderland defender Michael Ledger is yet to make a senior appearance at the Stadium of Light.
According to a report in the Shields Gazette, Michael Ledger is set to be given a chance at Sunderland over pre-season.
Ledger has emerged as one of Sunderland’s leading prospects, but he is yet to make his first team debut at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland sent Ledger out on loan to Viking last term, and he made 13 appearances for the Norwegian side.
And the Black Cats are now said to be willing to give Ledger his first-team chance over pre-season.
Sunderland realise that they may have to rely on their youngsters more next season, following their relegation to the Championship.

And Ledger could be one of the Black Cats’ prospects, who receives a chance in their senior squad.
Sunderland’s pre-season begins in just over a week’s time, with a new manager still not in place.
If Ledger doesn’t manage to force his way into Sunderland’s first-team, then Viking and a range of League One clubs are said to be interested in snapping the defender up on loan.
