According to The Times, Everton defender Michael Keane is set to sign a new five-year deal to stay at Goodison Park.
It’s claimed that Keane is all set to put pen-to-paper on a long-term extension to stay with Everton this week.
Keane still has two years left on his Everton deal, but is set to commit his future to the club until 2025.
The 27-year-old is in the England squad and will hope to really kick on this season in order to try and play at the European Championships next summer.
Signed from Burnley for £25million in 2017, Keane has failed to really live up to his billing but did play well in patches last term.
Everton may still be in the market for a new defender this summer, and Keane is far from guaranteed a starting role this coming season.

Mason Holgate looks to be the best-placed defender to start under Carlo Ancelotti, and Keane will have to work hard to partner him.
A new deal is a step in the right direction for Keane, and it seems that the agreement will be confirmed ahead of the new season.
