Michael Frey reportedly won’t be moving to Leeds United.

Fotomac in Turkey reported earlier this month that Leeds United were still in the race to sign Michael Frey.
The Swiss hitman struggled during his first season at Fenerbahce and Marcelo Bielsa has been linked.
But according to A Spor, Leeds are set to miss out on Frey, who is seemingly on the brink of joining Caykur Rizespor on loan.
The report from A Spor adds that Fenerbahce will be paying half of the 24-year-old’s wages this season, and if and when it’s confirmed, it’s a big chance missed by the Elland Road club.
Leeds are only really signing loan players this summer it seems and someone like Frey would’ve been a serious bargain.
Not only was he available for a nominal loan fee, but his parent club are paying 50% of his salary.
The Whites’ Director of Football Victor Orta said this month that the West Yorkshire club would have to be ‘creative’ in the market and someone like Frey could’ve been ideal – from a financial standpoint and a football one.
Bielsa only has two strikers in the form of Patrick Bamford and Kemar Roofe, and he probably needs a third-choice option by virtue of the fact that those other two don’t have flawless injury records.
