Liverpool’s transfer team have been holding discussions over the break from football, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Liverpool’s transfer chief Michael Edwards, scout, Barry Hunter and head of recruitment Dave Fallows have all had contact with each other in recent weeks, although the Reds’ transfer plans have not yet become clear.
Liverpool have been linked with a host of players, with Jurgen Klopp thought to be open to making some alterations to his squad.
However, recent reports have suggested that Liverpool have now pulled out of the race for Timo Werner.

The Echo insists that they are false though, and that Liverpool still retain an interest in the RB Leipzig goalscorer.
Werner’s name is likely to have cropped up in conversation between Edwards and the rest of Liverpool’s transfer team recently, but progress has been slow.
Liverpool are now thought to have made active strides in any potential deal yet, even though plans are being formulated for the summer transfer window behind the scenes.
Liverpool have dominated in the Premier League this term, and Klopp will want to be cautious that he doesn’t unsettle his squad by making too many additions in the coming months.
