Manchester United winger Memphis Depay is reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Everton.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United winger Memphis Depay is close to completing a move to Everton – and the deal will be a permanent one.
Depay, 22, was one of the hottest prospects in Europe after the 2014/15 season, as he had smashed 28 goals in 40 games for PSV Eindhoven before Manchester United won the race to sign him.

The Dutch international arrived at Old Trafford with huge expectations, but scored just two goals in 29 Premier League appearances last season, and failed to notch even one assist as he struggled to make an impact under Louis van Gaal.
Depay’s fortunes haven’t improved under Jose Mourinho this season, as he’s yet to start a Premier League game, and has only played 20 minutes of top flight football this term.

Now, the Manchester Evening News report that Depay is on the verge of completing a move to join Premier League rivals Everton, which would come into effect when the January transfer window opens.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman – formerly of PSV’s rivals Feyenoord – is no stranger to Depay having managed against him in the Eredivisie, recently told FOX Sports NL that he would love to work with the winger if he became available.
Since then, Everton have lost winger Yannick Bolasie to a season-ending injury, and many have expected Depay to make the move to Goodison Park on a temporary basis to plug the gap left by Bolasie’s injury.
However, it’s now claimed that Depay is set to pen a permanent deal with Everton in January, with fellow United outcast Morgan Schneiderlin also believed to be making the move to Merseyside – and Depay will finally be hoping to realise his potential under a manager who believes in him in fellow Dutchman Koeman.
