West Bromwich Albion are looking for their new manager after parting company with Alan Pardew.

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is seen during the William Hill Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Aberdeen at Hampden Park on May 27, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

According to a report from the Express and Star, West Brom could be in for a boost this summer with the news that Derek McInnes, Graham Potter and Michael Appleton would all be interested in considering the Baggies job.

West Brom find themselves bottom of the Premier League table with just six games left to try and claw back the 10 points that separate them from safety.

But it will not be Alan Pardew who tries to keep them in the top flight after it was announced on Monday that he has left the club by mutual consent, leaving Darren Moore in charge for the rest of the campaign while the board look for the man who is going to, probably, take charge in the Championship next year.

The Express and Star reports that McInnes, Potter and Appleton are on the club’s radar and would all be willing to consider coming to The Hawthorns during the coming months.

Leicester caretaker Manager Michael Appleton reacts during the Premier League match between Swansea City and Leicester City at Liberty Stadium on October 21, 2017 in Swansea, Wales.

Who is the best option?

It could certainly be argued that appointing any of the three options could be deemed a gamble despite the fact that all three men represented the Baggies during their playing days so would probably be popular with the long-suffering supporters.

Potter has certainly enjoyed the most success having overseen Ostersunds’ incredible rise through the divisions in Sweden that culminated in a Europa League campaign this season. Nevertheless, he is yet to manage in England.

Meanwhile, McInnes’ managerial record is also mixed. His time with Aberdeen has been impressive, but he struggled during his spell with Bristol City. And while Appleton enjoyed a very good spell with Oxford United, he arguably still has plenty to prove at the higher levels.

But the fact that the trio are all reportedly interested should be a very encouraging sign after such a miserable season.
