Liverpool and West Ham United are reportedly making moves for M’Baye Niang.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, AC Milan attacker M’Baye Niang is taking part in negotiations with Liverpool and West Ham United ahead of a possible transfer.

Niang, 22, hit eight goals in 19 games for Milan last season, as he finally showed signs of living up to his potential having emerged as one of Europe’s top youngsters with SM Caen.

The French attacker – who spent time out on loan at Montpellier and Genoa – has notched three goals and two assists for Milan this season, but he looks be on his way out of the San Siro.

Milan have swooped to sign Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu, and Niang, who can play up front or out wide, looks to be the player to suffer the most, with a move away before Tuesday’s transfer deadline seemingly on the cards.

Now, Tutto Mercato Web report that, on Tuesday evening, Niang was in a Milan hotel attempting to engineer a move away from the San Siro, with representatives from Liverpool and West Ham United allegedly being spoken to.

Liverpool’s attack has been diluted by the departure of Sadio Mane to the Africa Cup of Nations, and Jurgen Klopp may look to Niang to offer some attacking depth, as he can provide the pace Liverpool need out wide in Mane’s absence.

Meanwhile, West Ham are looking for another winger and a striker, with Dimitri Payet looking set to leave the club, and fellow Frenchman Niang could be the ideal replacement given his ability to play in both positions.

On Tuesday, Sky Sports claimed that Milan wanted £13million for Niang in order to seal a move before the transfer deadline, and with discussions allegedly on going with Liverpool and West Ham, a move could well be on the cards in the coming days.
