West Ham United set to miss out on Maxi Gomez it seems.

El Desmarque in Spain have reported that Maxi Gomez’s representatives want him to join West Ham United, but that the player himself has decided on a move to Valencia.
Valencia and the Irons have been involved in a tug-of-war for the Uruguayan star for much of the summer.
The Spanish side have been considered favourites to win the race as of late and, according to El Desmarque, the Celta Vigo star could sign for the Mestalla club in a £13.4 million deal over ‘the coming days’.
But the report claims that Gomez’s agents were ‘urging him’ to join West Ham, who were offering better personal terms than Los Che, though it appears as if he isn’t being swayed by money.
If true, even West Ham fans might respect that.
In this day and age, it’s easy to go where the money is, but if the 22-year-old is accepting less of a salary to go where he feels he’ll be happiest then that stance must be respected.
Gomez has netted 30 goals for Celta over the past two seasons.
