Sunderland have reportedly agreed a fee with Wigan Athletic for midfielder Max Power and he is now undergoing a medical.

Jack Ross has been able to enjoy an incredibly busy summer ahead of his first season at the helm at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland have brought in 14 new signings, and it appears that they may be about to get number 15 across the line in the final moments of the window.
Power has been a regular for Wigan ever since he arrived from Tranmere Rovers in 2015, making at least 40 league appearances in each of his three campaigns at the DW Stadium.

He has scored 11 goals across Wigan’s last two promotion-winning campaigns and Ross will seemingly be hoping that he can have a similar impact on the Sunderland squad should the move go through without a hitch.
Sunderland got their third tier campaign off to a good start at the weekend as they came from behind to claim a dramatic win over Charlton Athletic. They travel to Luton Town on Saturday looking to continue their winning start.
