Winger Max Gradel will hold talks over his future at Bournemouth this week as Leeds United look to rescue their former player, the Sun on Sunday reports [02/04, page 62].

Gradel has played three minutes for the Cherries since his return from this year’s African Cup of Nations tournament in January, despite having signed a new four-year deal last July.

And it is claimed Leeds are keen to bring him back to Elland Road this summer, provided they achieve promotion back to the Premier League.

Gradel scored or made 38 goals in 82 games for the Whites between October 2009 and August 2011, before his sale to Saint-Etienne.

And Garry Monk’s side could be in the market for wide players this summer, with the loans of Modou Barrow, Hadi Sacko and Alfonso Pedraza due to expire.

Bournemouth are said to have paid £8.5 million [Transfermarkt] to bring Gradel back to English football two summers ago, and may have to take a loss on the Ivorian, who was the subject of a failed bid from Hull City at the start of the year, according to the Sun on Sunday.

Would Gradel be a good signing for Leeds if the Whites are promoted?
