Tottenham Hotspur didn’t manage to bring Fernando Llorente back to Hotspur Way after his contract expired over the summer.

Tottenham had Fernando Llorente to bring on in the last minutes of matches last term when they were struggling to break teams down.
Llorente would offer Spurs a target to hit aerially and his impact was often positive, especially in the Champions League.
Pochettino wanted to keep Llorente at Hotspur Way when his contract expired, but the Spaniard was offered reduced terms and departed.
Pochettino is now said to be worried that his squad is short up-front, and has raised his concerns about the issue.
Tottenham certainly looked to be struggling in their last outing against Newcastle United, as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat.

Whether Llorente would have changed much in the match is very much up for debate, but he could have been useful given that Tottenham didn’t bring in another striker.
Llorente had his own limitations, and wasn’t the most mobile.
But the experienced striker did have a strong scoring record for Spurs, and it seems that they could end up missing him, unless they address their attacking issues quickly.
