The Spanish playmaker appears to be in the crosshairs of the Argentine manager.
Isco celebrates scoring for Real Madrid
Reports in Spain are suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a concerted effort to bring in Isco from Real Madrid this winter.
The Spanish publication Marca is stating that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is ‘crazy’ for Isco and is desperate to sign the Real Madrid playmaker.
Real Madrid’s Isco in action
The Spanish international is believed to want to make it work at Real Madrid, but is happy to move on if Real boss Zinedine Zidane does not see him in his future plans.
However, there is a sting in the report.
It is reported by Marca that any negotiations between Real Madrid and Tottenhaam Hotspur would be highly difficult.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy
Marca claim Real would make signing Isco difficult for Spurs, as negotiations which saw Gareth Bale head to the Spanish capital soured relations between the club and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Getting hold of the Spaniard may be an uphill task for Levy, who would likely have to overpay to bring in a player that Spurs boss Pochettino is seemingly very keen on.
Isco, who was linked with a move to Tottenham on deadline day, will no doubt continue to be linked with a move to White Hart Lane in the months to come.
