Real Madrid are reportedly looking at Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Real Madrid are reportedly interested in appointing Mauricio Pochettino as their head coach, according to The Mirror.
It has been reported that Pochettino is at the top of the list of possible candidates to replace Zinedine Zidane.
According to the report, Madrid president Florentino Perez wants to win La Liga and could replace Zidane with Pochettino.
“It is understood chairman Daniel Levy is aware of Real’s interest and will face a fight to stop Pochettino eventually leaving, despite the manager having signed a new five-year contract only last summer,” adds the report in The Mirror.
“Pochettino is highly ambitious and would be tempted by the chance of working for one of the world’s biggest clubs.”
Pochettino has done a wonderful job at Tottenham so far and has made the North London outfit genuine Premier League title contenders.
Madrid are the biggest club in the world, and it would be hard for the Argentine boss to turn down the European giants.
Los Blancos, though, should maintain faith in Zidane, who guided the club to Champions League success last season.
The Frenchman is still learning on the job, but Madrid are getting results in La Liga at the moment.
Madrid are at the top of La Liga at the moment with 24 points from 10 matches, just two points clear of second-placed Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are currently fourth in the standings with 20 points from 10 games, only three points behind leaders Manchester City.
