Tottenham Hotspur do not want to fall short in their title challenge this season.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Mauricio Pochettino intends to reduce Tottenham Hotspur’s players’ workload in training to guard against fatigue.

Tottenham fell away towards the end of last season, after challenging Leicester City for the title.

Spurs failed to win any of their last four matches, after collapsing at Stamford Bridge, and Pochettino believes his squad tired.

Pochettino has always been a manager who has demanded a great amount of effort in training, but he is keen to learn from his errors.

And the Argentine boss reportedly is willing to offer his Spurs players the chance to rest when possible, to ensure that their title challenge does not fall away again.

Pochettino’s Spurs side have been in wonderful form recently, and they are starting to put pressure on Chelsea.

Tottenham beat Antonio Conte’s side 2-0 in their most recent match, and they have now closed the gap to the league leaders down to seven points.

Spurs’ next league match comes against West Bromwich Albion on the 14th January.
