Juan Foyth has always been recognised as a centre-back at Tottenham Hotspur, but may now have a future at full-back.

According to the Guardian, Mauricio Pochettino is confident that he can change Juan Foyth’s position and make him a right-back at Tottenham Hotspur.

Kieran Trippier is set to leave Tottenham imminently, with the defender set to move to Atletico Madrid.

It leaves Spurs looking short at right-back, with Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters their only recognised options in the position.

However, Pochettino is said to believe that it is possible that he can shift Foyth into covering for Trippier over the season ahead.

Foyth played for Tottenham at right-back on occasion last term, and particularly impressed against Manchester City, where he silenced Raheem Sterling.

It may be that Foyth is now converted into becoming a permanent right-back option at Tottenham.

Even though Spurs are set to try Foyth out at full-back over the coming campaign that doesn’t mean that they won’t be looking for a new right-back in the transfer window.

Spurs are likely to want fresh additions in the position, as Pochettino looks to bolster his squad.
