Newcastle United midfielder Matty Longstaff caught the eye on league debut, as he put in an excellent display.

Longstaff was handed his league debut for Newcastle before the international break, and he went on to impress.
The 19-year-old, who has also played once in the EFL Cup, blasted home from range, as Newcastle beat Manchester United 1-0.
Longstaff’s place in Newcastle’s team is still far from secure though, as he is so inexperienced.
But the Northern Echo claim that Bruce is set to stick with the youngster at the weekend.
Longstaff is set to be given the nod over Jonjo Shelvey and Ki-Sung Yeung, as Newcastle travel to Stamford Bridge.

It is a risky decision from Bruce, but Longstaff’s confidence should be so high right now, after he made such a huge impact on debut.
Newcastle head into their game against Chelsea as heavy underdogs, but they have beaten Tottenham Hotspur and United already this season, which suggests that they can pose a threat on their day.
