Newcastle United and West Ham United are being linked with Mattia Destro.

According to Bologna-based newspaper Il Resto Del Carlino, the agent of Bologna striker Mattia Destro has travelled to England for talks with Newcastle United and West Ham United.
Destro, 27, joined Bologna from Roma in 2015, but his time with the club has been a little mixed so far, having initially hit 19 goals in his first two seasons.
However, he scored just six times last season, and remains goalless this season, failing to score in his 210 minutes on the pitch under Pippo Inzaghi.
Destro has been stuck behind Federico Santander and Rodrigo Palacio, and may now seek a move away from Bologna before the end of the transfer window.
Bologna-based newspaper Il Resto Del Carlino report that Destro’s agent has flown over to England for talks with a number of clubs this week, including Newcastle and West Ham.
Newcastle don’t have tons of money to spend but may well look to another striker amid questions over Joselu’s future, and Destro would fit the bill, with Rafael Benitez possibly familiar with the striker from his time managing in Italy.

West Ham are likely to be in the market for another striker whether Marko Arnautovic leaves or not, but the goalless Destro would be a hugely underwhelming signing.
Destro does have eight goals and a cap for Italy, but his lack of impact for Bologna this season raises major questions over his suitability for a Premier League team.
