Manchester United are one of four clubs reportedly vying for the Ajax star’s signature.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Ajax ace Matthijs de Ligt’s agent Mini Raiola is pushing for his client to join Manchester United instead of Barcelona this summer.
The Dutchman is valued at around €60 million (£51.5 million), according to Spanish media outlet Sport, with the Sun reporting that Manchester United are keen to sign him this summer.
De Ligt, 19, is already considered to be one of the finest central defenders in world football, and he has proven his quality on the world’s biggest stage this season, with some superb performances for Ajax in the Champions League.
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claims that the Red Devils want to sign the Holland international, but they will face competition from Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus.

However, the Spanish media outlet claims that De Ligt’s agent Mini Raiola would prefer his client to join Manchester United, due to the fact that they would pay him more than the other clubs involved in the race for his signature.
And should United manage to sign the 19-year-old this summer, it could turn out to be a really significant business for the club.
