Ritchie has been on the books of Newcastle since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Bournemouth for an initial transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £10 million.
The 29-year-old winger has established himself as an important player for the Magpies and is playing well for Rafael Benitez’s side.
The Scotland international winger has made 32 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Newcastle this season, scoring two goals and providing six assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Ritchie is out of contract at Newcastle in the summer of 2021, and the winger wants a new deal at the Magpies, according to The Mirror.

Ritchie has done quite well for Newcastle, and it will not be a bad idea for the Premier League club to hand him a new two-year contract.
The Sun recently reported that Newcastle manager Benitez has told Ritchie that he is free to leave and will not be given a new contract.
