Everton reportedly want to sign Marvin Plattenhardt from Hertha Berlin in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Plattenhardt will head to Everton in a £16 million move but only after the World Cup.
The 26-year-old left-back is part of the Germany squad for the ongoing 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.

Good defender?
Plattenhardt is a very good and established left-back, and is one of the best in his position in Germany.
Signing the 26-year-old would be a smart move for Everton, who need to find a long-term replacement for Leighton Baines, who is 33 years of age.

If the Toffees are able to agree a £16m deal with Hertha, the it could prove to be a bargain signing for the Merseyside outfit.
It also makes sense that Plattenhardt will make a decision on his future after the World Cup, as Germany are aiming to win the prestigious competition in Russia this summer.
