Rangers boss Mark Warburton is keen to tie down the striker’s Ibrox future.
Rangers’ Martyn Waghorn scores their second goal from the penalty spot
It has been a tough week at Ibrox for Rangers. Mark Warburton has banished Joey Barton from the training ground of the Glasgow club after a fall-out in the week. That came after they were thumped 5-1 in the Old Firm derby against fierce rivals Celtic.
Rangers fans, who were obviously on a high at the start of the season, are now sensing some doom and gloom.
One other source of concern lingering at Rangers is the future of main goal threat Martyn Waghorn.
The forward is yet to signal is intent to stay at Ibrox long-term and a report from the Daily Mail has commented on his contract situation.

They report that Waghorn still has a contract offer on the table for him to sign with Rangers. However, as of yet, he has made no decision on whether or not to sign it.
It was reported in early July, by the likes of The Guardian, that Waghorn and fellow star player James Tavernier both rejected contract offers at the club.
Tavernier then signed a revised offer to stay at Ibrox but it seems Waghorn is waiting to see how things develop in Glasgow this season.
The 26-year-old has already scored five goals for Warburton’s side in as many games this season and netted 28 times in 36 appearances for Rangers last term.
