Marseille are keen on Jordan Amavi after he was placed on the transfer list by Aston Villa.
Rudi Garcia
After admitting that he has been played on the transfer list, it has taken little time for interest to be shown in Aston Villa left-back Jordan Amavi.
One of the clubs that are looking at the possibility of signing Amavi are Marseille, with French publication Foot Sur 7 reporting that Rudi Garcia was taking a look at the 23-year-old.
Not only would a move to the Orange Velodrome allow the 23-year-old to return to his native country, but would also give him the chance to play in Europe – something he has outlined as an ambition.
“We spoke with Aston Villa, I was upfront with them, the club were in return,” Amavi told Nice Matin.
“If I have to leave, there will be no problem. I have ambitions. I want to play in Europe, for a club that play in all the competitions.
“I’ve been placed on the transfer list.”

Marseille have qualified for the Europa League for next season by finishing fifth in Ligue 1 and that would surely make them an attractive prospect for Amavi.
Garcia is interested in the Villa man despite already having Patrice Evra on the books after he signed from Juventus in January.
However, Evra has struggled with injury problems since coming back to France and at 36-years-old is rapidly approaching the end of his career.
