The Tottenham Hotspur player has struggled to make an impact at White Hart Lane this season.

According to a report from French publication Le Journal Du Dimanche, Marseille are ready to offer £21.6million for Tottenham Hotspur’s Moussa Sissoko this summer.

The report also claims that the player has been told to move on by France national coach Didier Deschamps for the good of his career, and that the player wants his future sorted by the end of June at the latest.

That said, Sissoko allegedly wants to know the names of the other players Marseille are targeting this summer to ensure he makes the right choice.

The midfielder arrived in North London on transfer deadline day last summer, and his surprising move has never really worked out, with the 27-year-old managing no goals and just four assists in 34 appearances to date.

He quickly fell out of favour at Tottenham and has only played for more than 45 minutes in the league on two occasions since December.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino

It seems Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino does not see him as an integral part of his plans and if Spurs get a decent offer this summer it would be no surprise to see him move on.

That said, Marseille may still have work to do to convince Sissoko to join, but if they have impressive targets and ultimately get them over the line, he could yet return to his homeland in a bid to kick-start his faltering club career.
