The Aston Villa player has been linked with a return to his former club.
Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew is wanted by his former club Marseille, according to reports in France this weekend.
The Ghanaian forward has been linked with a move to the Stade Velodrome this weekend by Buzz Sports. They claim that Marseille have several attacking options on their wish list – with Paul Georges Ntep and Gianluca Lapadula of Rennes and AC Milan respectively also on the list.

But Ayew is an option that they feel they can win over, as he obviously has history at Marseille.
He came through the youth ranks at Marseille spending eight years at the club where his father Pele Ayew and brother Andre Ayew also played their football.
He left in 2014 for Lorient before heading to Aston Villa in 2015 and suffering relegation with them last season.

He remained with the club for this season but despite some good form at the start of the season he is now struggling to be a regular in the Villa side under the guidance of Steve Bruce.
The Ghanaian international is also set to miss a chunk of the season by heading to Gabon for the African Cup of Nations.
With that in mind Marseille may feel they have a chance of bringing him back to the club with his place at Villa Park under threat.
