Aston Villa’s Jordan Ayew shoots at goal
Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew looked likely to be staying with the club this summer, but at the last minute it seems he may be on his way back to former club Marseille.
The Ghanaian has been linked with a move to plenty of clubs this summer but has so far remained at Villa Park.
But with Villa signing Jonathan Kodjia from Bristol City yesterday his place in the first-team may soon come under threat.
ESPN are reporting that Marseille, along with Premier League rivals Hull City, are interested in signing the player for a fee in the region of £11 million.

Ayew joined Villa from Lorient last summer and was the club’s top-scorer last season. Prior to his time with Lorient the 24-year-old came through the youth system at Marseille – playing over 100 times for the club before leaving in 2014.
His departure will upset a pocket of Villa fans who have always appreciated the player’s efforts through adversity. However, he was poor v Bristol City at the weekend which may have convinced some he is better off away from Villa Park.
