The Arsenal man has been linked with West Ham United and Everton, but neither might get him now according to a report.
According to The Telegraph, Marseille are increasingly confident that they will sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud ahead of their reported rivals for his signature.
The 30-year-old has been heavily linked with West Ham United and Everton this summer, with the Toffees reportedly preparing to pair him up with Wayne Rooney next season according to a report from The Sun on Wednesday.
West Ham were reportedly willing to spend £20 million on the Frenchman, who wants £130,000 a week.
But now The Telegraph claim that Ligue 1 outfit Marseille believe that they can bring him back to France, having left Montpellier to join Arsenal back in 2012.
Missing out on the Gunners hitman represents a bigger setback for West Ham than Everton, who have the profile and the money to simply move on to another target, but the Hammers faithful were excited at the prospect of signing him.
