Tottenham's Moussa Sissoko waits to come on as a substitute

According to a report from French website Le10 Sport, Marseille are keen to bring Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko back to France, with ambassador Basile Boli allegedly holding discussions with the international during a recent Ligue 1 game.

Sissoko arrived at Tottenham from Newcastle United last summer, but as yet he has failed to live up to his price tag and it would be no great surprise to see him move on at the end of the current campaign.

The report from Le10 Sport claims that earlier this month Boli – as part of the Marseille delegation – had a long discussion with the Tottenham man.

The report goes on to claim that is it unknown if Boli had instructions to trigger the conversation or if he was merely testing the water.

However, it is claimed the Tottenham man is looking for a new challenge this summer and could be seduced by Marseille, whose manager Rudi Garcia is keen on the player.

All this is speculation but considering his swift fall from grace at Tottenham, a Sissoko exit could be best for all concerned.
