The pair left Glasgow Rangers a month ago and an Ibrox reunion could be on the cards at Nottingham Forest this summer.
Former Rangers manager Mark Warburton
Mark Warburton could follow Frank McParland to Nottingham Forest this summer, according to the Nottingham Post.
McParland is set to be announced as Forest’s new director of football on a deal until the end of the campaign, having left an equivalent position at Glasgow Rangers last month.
And should McParland’s appointment prove a success, he is likely to be joined by former Ibrox boss Warburton at the City Ground.
The pair, who also worked together at Forest’s Championship rivals Brentford, were linked with Reds moves a month ago, shortly before their joint departures.
However, they, along with former Rangers assistant David Weir, remain adamant they did not tender their resignations despite the club’s claims.

Forest parted company with their own manager, Philippe Montanier, in January, with academy boss Gary Brazil replacing the Frenchman on an interim basis until the summer.
Warburton, a former city trader, led both Brentford and Rangers to promotions during his time in charge.
Would the former Rangers boss be a good appointment for Nottingham Forest?
