West Ham United may be in the market for a new striker in the January transfer window, as Sebastien Haller has failed to impress under David Moyes.
Michail Antonio’s injury has exposed West Ham’s lack of striking depth, and a move for a new attacker in January should be on Moyes’ wish list.
They have no doubt looked at many attackers ahead of the January window, and looking at Brentford talent Marcus Forss again may make some sense.
TEAMtalk reported in October 2019 that West Ham are keen on Forss, having been impressed with his form on loan at AFC Wimbledon.
This term, the 21-year-old has hit an impressive six goals in 12 games for Brentford, despite mostly playing second-fiddle behind star man Ivan Toney.
Now, TEAMtalk have an update on Forss, claiming that Borussia Dortmund now want to sign him, whilst Union Berlin are also interested.
The Finnish striker seems to have a big future at the club, and the interest from a major club like Dortmund just goes to show how highly he is rated.
West Ham would be wise to keep tabs on Forss ahead of looking at a move themselves, as seeing Forss join Dortmund in January may leave the Hammers regretting not making their move sooner.
