Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo saw a move to Everton fall through.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United are willing to pay Marcos Rojo in order for him to leave the club after his move to Everton fell through.
The Argentinian was signed by Louis van Gaal in 2014, having enjoyed a decent World Cup campaign with Argentina, reaching the final of the competition.
Formerly of Sporting in Portugal, Rojo has shown flashes of his quality, but simply hasn’t been consistent enough, nor reliable enough, to be considered a regular starter.
With Harry Maguire signing this summer, Rojo seemingly has no role to play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and United are taking drastic action to get shut of him.
United will allegedly offer Rojo a chunk of his £130,000-a-week, two-year contract in order to leave for another club, having found it difficult to find a buyer who will take on his contract.
The 29-year-old has interest from Italy and Spain, but United are struggling to get rid of Rojo, and with just two weeks of the European transfer window to go, the Red Devils know they’re running out of time.

This comes just about 10 days since Rojo’s move to Everton collapsed, with the Daily Mail reporting that he was ‘furious’ that a move to Goodison Park fell through.
Rojo briefly worked with Marco Silva at Sporting and Marcel Brands had worked to reunite them, and whilst Everton may love to rekindle their interest in January, they may not have the chance to do so.
