Tottenham Hotspur continue to pursue Real Betis ace Giovani Lo Celso.

According to The i, Real Betis fitness coach Marcos Alvarez has recommended former club Tottenham Hotspur to midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
Lo Celso, 23, enjoyed a superb season on loan at Real Betis, scoring 16 goals from midfield having been farmed out by Paris Saint-Germain.
Betis activated their purchase clause in the loan deal, but may now flip the Argentinian for a massive profit amid interest from Tottenham.
Sky Sports report that Tottenham want Lo Celso, and the player himself wants to work with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, but a huge £70million fee will be needed.
An intriguing addition to the tale is The i now claiming that Betis fitness coach Alvarez has talked up a move to Spurs, telling Lo Celso that joining Tottenham would be a smart switch.
Few Spurs fans would even remember Alvarez from his time at Tottenham, never mind think that he could be a secret weapon in the pursuit of Lo Celso.

Alvarez served as a fitness coach for Juande Ramos at Spurs between 2007 and 2008, and seemingly enjoyed his time enough to talk up Tottenham to top target Lo Celso.
Some may wonder just why Alvarez would be telling a Betis star to leave, but it’s more about what would be a good move for Lo Celso’s career given that he’s expected to go anyway and other clubs are keen, and Alvarez’s comments could just help Spurs win the race.
