Everton manager Marco Silva is unconvinced by Morgan Schneiderlin, according to The Mirror.

Schneiderlin has not made the Everton matchday squads for the past five games, and manager Silva is reportedly not convinced by him.

The Mirror has also claimed that there are question marks over 28-year-old central midfielder James McCarthy.

Future uncertain?

Schneiderlin is a very good defensive midfielder, but the France international has struggled to play consistently well since his move to Everton from Premier League rivals Manchester United in January 2017 for an initial transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £20 million and when Ronald Koeman was in charge of the Toffees.

The 29-year-old made his name at Southampton, but the defensive midfielder’s move to United in the summer of 2015 did not go according to plan.

Everton are doing well without Schneiderlin, and it would not be a bad idea for the Toffees to cash in on the Frenchman in the January transfer window if manager Silva does not fancy him.
