According to The Mirror, new Watford manager Marco Silva wants to launch a triple raid on former club Hull City by landing Eldin Jakupovic, Omar Elabdellaoui and Kamil Grosicki.

Silva, 39, took the Hull job in January and was largely derided by pundits given his lack of Premier League experience, but he impressed in charge of the Tigers, making them a more solid defensive unit and exhibiting some strong home form.

The Portuguese boss ultimately couldn’t keep Hull in the Premier League, but he did give them a fighting chance, and his short stint at the KCOM Stadium came to an end last week as he moved back to the Premier League to take the Watford job.

Brought in to replace Walter Mazzarri, Silva will want the rarity of being a Hornets manager to last more than a year, and he is already eyeing up signings to boost his squad according to The Mirror.

It’s claimed that Silva wants to raid Hull for three players, with goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic, full back Omar Elabdellaoui and winger Kamil Grosicki believed to be the subject of Silva’s interest in a £15million triple raid.

Goalkeeper Jakupovic, 32, was a surprise hero of Hull’s season after making just 27 appearances in four previous seasons, and Silva may now want the Swiss shot-stopper to compete with Heurelho Gomes at Vicarage Road.

Links to Elabdellaoui are no great surprise; Silva worked with the Norwegian international right back at Olympiacos before reuniting at Hull in January, and another reunion could be on the cards, with the 25-year-old seemingly lined up to battle with Daryl Janmaat – and such a move would surely end Brice Dja Djedje’s forgettable spell with Watford.

Finally, Polish winger Grosicki was another January signing for Hull and Silva, and the 28-year-old showed flashes of his pace and quality, notching three assists for the Tigers. His role on the left could be ideal for Watford right now, given that loanee M’Baye Niang is set to return to AC Milan, with Grosicki a natural replacement if Silva can land him, and his two Hull team-mates.
